Gold Beach Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting

On January 12, 2024, a Gold Beach Police Officer discharged his firearm during a routine traffic stop, injuring the motorist. The injured party was transported to Curry General Hospital and later to OHSU for treatment.

The Curry County Major Crimes Team, led by the Oregon State Police, is investigating the incident following standard protocol for officer-involved shootings. The Curry County District Attorney's Office has chosen not to release additional details at this time.
